Regional Ethnography: All of Ukraine in One Day
The National Museum of Folk Architecture and Folkways of Ukraine in Pyrohiv is one of the world’s largest open-air ethnographic reserves. Its vast 133-hectare park is meticulously arranged by geographical and historical principles: each sector recreates the natural landscape, settlement layout, native vegetation, and vernacular architecture of a specific historical region.
Stroll through the pine groves of Polissya with archaic log storehouses, up to the mountain slopes of the Carpathians with Hutsul grazhdas, charming whitewashed Podillya cottages, and the breezy hilltop windmills of Middle Dnieper.
